Brzanov is a boutique winery located in Skopje with the capacity of 50,000 litres. Based in Gjorce Petrov, just 6 km from Skopje’s city center, Antonio Brzanov combines his passion for the local Vranec variety with the occasional surge of enthusiasm for testing international varieties in the country’s sun scorched soils. Antonio’s wine career extends back to 2004 when he co-founded Vinar Winery with his former partner. In 2011 a tough decision was taken to part ways and the Brzanov concept was launched. Although the winery doesn’t have its own vineyards, we have a long standing cooperation with a handful of vineyard owners based on a fair and sustainable partnership arrangement. Antonio and his business partner, Dimitar Stojanovski, try to work together with growers to ensure grape varieties contain consistent (higher) levels of sugar every year. The grapes we work with are from Veles, Negotino, Bogdanci and Skopje. The majority of our production is Vranec, with a consistent amount of Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. However we are eager to experiment with other varieties, so this year we will have Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Malvasia, Nebiolo.

Our wines:

Bulk Vines: Vranec 2012, Vranec 2013, , Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Barrique wines: Cuvee Charlie, Cuvee SB 2013,  Vranec Barrique 2013, Tempranillo Reserva 2012, Vranec Elixir 2012, Merlot Elixir 2012, Cabernet Franc Elixir 2012.
